Our clinic offers non-surgical treatment program which is specific to one's type of scoliosis. We provide bracing and specific exercises with the goal to reduce and correct the curve in your spine. Scoliosis is a complex condition and if diagnosed, one should not wait for long without getting any appropriate treatment. If the scoliosis condition worsens it might leave you or your loved one with one option, which is surgical intervention. We are here to help.
About Scoliosis
Scoliosis is a condition of the spine where it is bends sideways and its accompanied by twisting. It can occur at any age and someone with scoliosis may have a back that curves from side to side.
The cause of scoliosis is largely unknown and it is referred to as idiopathic scoliosis. Idiopathic means the cause is unknown. This condition has always been and continues to be a major challenge to the health profession. So it is important to talk to a health practitioner who has good knowledge and understanding of the condition.
Scoliosis can be found in baby’s (Infant scoliosis), in younger children aged between 3-10 years old (Juvenile scoliosis), In adolescents between 10-18 years old (adolescent scoliosis) and in adults due to spinal degeneration and advancing age (De novo scoliosis). A person might have scoliosis and they might not even realise they do.
-
Scoliosis can affect children and adults (with no previous history of the condition).
-
In children it can be a more serious condition because it can rapidly progress as the child grows.
-
Early detection and treatment is the key to the success of scoliosis care.

Scoliosis can range from mild to severe, with pronounced postural distortions and changes in the appearance of the back. The main signs can include the following:
-
Visible “S” or “C” curved back.

Uneven shoulders.
-

-
Uneven hips or waist.
-
Back pain (mainly found in adults with scoliosis)
If you suspect that you or your child might have scoliosis, give us a call and we will organise an examination before it’s too late.
Scoliosis Treatment
Customised 3D Bracing
At our scoliosis clinic, we offer non-surgical scoliosis treatments. We utilise a unique 3D scanning system which allows a corrective bracing to be created that is specific to the curve of your spine and body. Although results may vary, corrective bracing is designed to either reduce or stop the scoliosis while wearing the brace.
Scoliosis Specific Exercises and Rehabilitation
We also offer specific scoliosis rehabilitation exercises known as Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis (SEAS). The reason we utilise SEAS program is because it has the most gathered evidence and supporting research for treatment of scoliosis. SEAS may slow down or stop the progression of certain types of scoliosis conditions. These exercises consist of a combination of active movement-based exercise, isometric exercises, and reflexive exercises.
It is important to understand that only specialised exercise and rehabilitation programs specifically designed to treat scoliosis have been shown to make improvements.
We treat both patients with and without brace. We also implement other techniques and therapies to continuously strive to give our scoliosis patients the best clinical outcomes.
